How it looks:

Scientists place one bacterium into a container. It reproduces every 4 minutes. Filling the entire jar with bacteria, given its size and the size of the bacteria, takes about two days.

(One bacterium dividing every 20 minutes in ideal conditions → within one day, the population exceeds a billion.)
